As the days until our wedding race by and work piles up and more and more is to be done, I find myself daydreaming. Daydreaming of being a calm woman with a quiet smile on her face. The woman in the movie who gracefully takes bad news and makes a small joke to lighten the mood, a little chuckle muffled under her breath. The woman with the natural beauty and the perfect shade of lipstick that shows she cares. Her clumsiness is charming and always well timed.I never used to think this way, and to be honest. Tonight Will and I are taking some much needed relaxation time and watching as much TV as possible.

Sometimes you just gotta... be mindless. You know?

He just turned to me, while laying on his belly in his white (off white...) tee and blue jeans and yelled THANKSGIVING!

Ladies and gentleman, I am one lucky lady. No sarcasm, except for the off-whiteness. Those shirts have gotta go.

I have decided to join back in with the Fill in the blank Friday routine. Yes! Thanks Lauren for keeping this up!
1. My plans this summer include : Sorting out our new life. Finding a place to live. How to make a living. And hopefully some pretty sweet memories. Lots of dancing with Will while times are tough :)

2. The best summer I ever had was : The summer after 8th grade. Lots of trips to the hill country with friends to play in the river and eat junk food, summer movies with big groups, and chatter about cute boys and our "big" drama. It was simple then and I am proud to say I still have most of the best friends I was with that summer.

3. Summer is: Too hot in Texas but filled with excitement. Hot dogs, parks, rivers, beer, and watermelon. Pretty awesome?

4. My favorite summer food is: Anything off of the grill! Kabobs and corn? Delish! And Guacamole. Yum.

5. The best way to quench a summer thirst is with : a margarita with all fresh juices and a tall glass of ice water.

6. My summer uniform consists of: sundresses and workout clothes.

7. The best thing about summer is : you feel like you are ready for anything.Breezy evenings for long conversations with friends and love, opportunity, and adventure all feel possible and it is so awesome.

This is what I am dreaming of doing every day this summer and probably beyond. Will and I are really into the slumber party lifestyle. How about you?

Things have been a bit crazy on the Swain - Stan front but I am pleased to announce we are working very hard to plant some roots in our new city of Austin and pleased to announce we will be getting married next October!

Was it hard for you to pick your wedding colors? I usually don't have a hard time helping a bride out with this but when it's for yourself, good golly it's hard! We are pretty excited. My new favorite story...

Is one of my own! Can you guess what it is?

What else could it be except how Will proposed!

On the morning of my 24th birthday, just about 2 weeks ago now, I woke up very early because I noticed there was a little less warmth in my comfy bed. Livi and I (our dog) searched the house (all 679 sqft.) for our beloved Will. Having seen the bathroom light was off I naturally didn't look in there. Right as I was about to panic, I heard my phone ringing and saw his face pop up on my screen :)

His phone photo is one of him pretending to hide behind a fake tree

in a craft store which cracks me up everytime I see it! Just a good sidenote :)

The first thing he asked me was if I had been in the bathroom yet. I thought this was a strange question

until I went to look and saw this sign hanging from the doorway. It really makes a lot of sense when you think of it logically but I unfortunately don't do things in order all of the time.

If you know me you know I love going on the roof. A LOT. Not sure if I posted it here but we recently did this photoshoot up there for Huckleberry.

Above is what I saw when I got up there.

He had a breakfast picnic and bought me a super amazing record player I have been wanting for ages. Upon closer inspection and a little guidance from my man I found this little box and a VERY lovely and amazing letter inside. He styled it so beautifully and even wrote "To My Love" on the top. Great font choices too :) This letter was so sweet that he said he had to step away while I read it. Its main theme was passion and planning. He also engraved those words into the inside of the box which held the letter. It spoke of hopes and dreams for our life, our past talks about getting married and plans, and most of all, our love.

I'm definitely holding back tears as I type this...

At the bottom of the letter I was told to come get some kisses on the roof from him as my last birthday present. They were magical and I was so happy about my birthday gifts and love from him! I thought that was it then, time to eat!

He's really good at timing. I mean really good. He's a feet sweeper in every way.

As we walked back to the picnic site he must have stayed a few steps behind me because as I was about to go for some scrumptious breakfast treats he called from behind me " Wait! I have one more present for you!"

He claims I must have known by the way he said because I turned around in slow motion ( I always get nervous for other people when they are dong big things!). He does a funny impression of the look I had on my face now as well.

Much to my surprise, he was down on his knee asking me for forever with him. He handcrafted me a ring out of wood because he is just that thoughtful. I laughed, cried, danced around and of course said yes!

I am still just so smitten and bursting with joy over the whole deal I feel like this post just can't express it

My wonderful man has started a new super awesome legit blog called We Speak the Ber. His nickname by his family and most of his friends now is The Ber. Derived from Wilbur (which is a nickname from his real name William), this name has become so common for him that his nephew is learning to know him as Uncle The Ber.

His blog is focused on his many projects he likes to do and his all around friendly funny self. It's going to be epic I am sure.

Heading out to hang out with Ms. Ashleigh (wonderful friend for over 10 years!) for dinner tonight at her new apartment.

She is cooking Will and I chicken parmesan and I am in charge of bringing the wine. I think tonight is going to be a really great night that just might cure this nasty head cold I have.

I am so lucky to have such great friends taking care of me when I am down right grumpy and stuffy.

I owe Anna and Will a big thank you for going to dinner with me last night (even though I wasn't hungry) and dancing in the living room with me.

This little blog gets neglected but not forgotten :) With so much going on with Huckleberry Creative, scheduling me time can get a little daunting.

But, here I am... a little under the weather and taking the day off work for me. Little blog, you won't be neglected any longer. Also... Sorry dear friends and family who faithfully check here for updates... I will not fail you any longer.

Funny that my last post was about resolutions... haha I have actually not done too bad with them until the monumental I quit my big fancy magazine job because they treated me terrible and now I am bar-tending again fiasco. The bar-tending is not forever I know... because our little company is rapidly growing and I couldn't be more thrilled to be doing something so awesome with two of my favorite people ever.

I'm excited. I need to keep writing it down because these are times I definitley do not want to forget.
You know what else? I think they are exciting enough for you all to read about too.

So there. I'm back.

Resolution Update

I'm deserving of a small wrist slap, I slipped on a day of leg shaving and I probably complained at least 3 times today. Back on the wagon tomorrow.

But! Alas! I am still eating healthy. Day 2 is going fabulous!

Today was kind of a long day, therefore I am thinking about super happy things like....

When Ella and Caitlin came to visit. We had so much fun going to the park and to see christmas lights at the Lights in the Heights Festival and so much more. Makes my heart super warm just thinking about all of it :) I even miss her jumping around and bouncing off my walls and writing on things with crayons. (Thank you Will for all of you patience and wonderful lovingness while she was here.)

Having a little sister 21 years younger than yourself is pretty great if you ask me. I feel like I get to know her without all of the sibling rivalry and really enjoy her, despite the fact that most people think she could be my daughter when we are out in public or that my stepmom is my sister.

I love all of the little quirks that make up our crazy little bunch.

Some of these are almost awkward family photo worthy but I love them.

New Year!!!

Hello January 2011!

Here are my resolutions. Better a couple days late than never right?

1. Be good to my body. Eat better & exercise mas.

We've come a long way together and I did a little sabotaging in 2010. This includes the usual new years stuff like eating better (no more putting crap down my gullet!) and getting exercise in everyday. I will be picking up my yoga habit and doing fun things for exercise like long walks in my new vibrams with my Will after work and hikes etc. I just rejoined WW too!

2. Appreciate my imperfections.

I am extremely hard on myself. Its gotta stop. This year is about letting go of mistakes and allowing myself to make them.

3. More family and friends time.

I am going to organize my life better so that there is work time and family/friends time. No more of this running around like a crazy lady.

4. Perfect my sewing and crafty skills.

We have some big things happening this year and I am ready to get my skills perfected so I take some projects to the next level!

5. Get Ready.

This could actually apply to tons of things I want to happen this year. I have a lot to get ready for, but the first step is to start doing things like painting my nails, putting on my makeups, moisturizing more, not letting my legs go unshaved just because its cold outside, etc. These little changes make a big difference in how you tackle many things in life, plus Will deserves more than a frumpy girlfriend.

6. Complain Less!

Super inspired from reading A Cup of Jo's decision to join in on this challenge. I will take it a week at a time. I think miss Anna is going to give it a go too! Life is too short to complain, generally what we complain about is something we should just be taking action to change instead of wasting time ramblin on about it.

To be quite honest, life has been filled with busy wonderful things that could jazz up the pages of this blog an all time extreme. Have I mentioned to anyone that I have been doing a 30 day yoga challenge? Well I am and its awesome. Minus the fact that I made it 18 days straight, and then missed because one of my best friends gave birth! Thats an okay exchange right? More photos on Michelle's baby Ella to come later this week of course.

So tomorrow I am going to be back on course (some days doing yoga twice in a day to make up for the classes missed.)

One thing from this challenge that I would like to share is how great it is to take time to yourself everyday, which is what they tell us at the beginning of each class. Take time to take care of you and thank you. Because you know what? You're awesome.

Also maybe someday you will be able to do this, and how awesome does that seem?

I wish I could completely describe what I thought was going to happen on my trip before I departed but really, one thing I can for sure say, is that it was not what I expected.

Here is one the of magical times.

My friend Lucy and I took the day trip to Montserrat. We hiked our little tails up that mountain at midday and well, it was amazing. Good conversation about life love and all of the inbetweens, amazing views, and to top it off we talked to other nice people along the way. At the end of it all we did some needed souvenir shopping at the city below. We purchased some amazing, I mean super amazing chocolate made by Monks who live in the monastery at the top of the mountain.

This is a must do if you happen to find yourself in the area :)

I've been home for almost 3 weeks and am hitting the point where all of the little memories are rushing into mind. I love this part :)

Life is good by the way, lots of fun things to update! Also check out the not so awesome heat situation in my apartment on Anna's blog. Were making the best out of it I suppose.

Tonight I will close my eyes in Spain one more time. In the morning I will wake up and make the journey over the seas back to my beloved Texas with a long wonderful layover in Florida where I will see the Cait :) and my sweet little sister Ella.

So excited to see everyone back home! Although... so sad to say bye to people here as well. I had a wonderful time visiting Maria and Cedric and their little miss in France. This trip feels like it has been going on for so long yet somehow it just slipped through my hands and is gone now before I knew it, like a metro that you are 2 seconds too late to catch.

I promise to start posting about this great adventure and all of the great little bits that took place when I get back to the States!

Digging Whitley, found him via an australia festival lineup that Will showed me last night.

Warning: this is going to be an honest blog.

Barcelona has not proven to be my most favorite trip, for many reasons I suppose. In all honesty I am truly having a hard time fitting in. I used to think I had no problem making friends but I really just feel out of loop here. Hopefully things get better.

Will gave me a nice bit of advice today. He told me just to focus on the fact that I get to have some me time. I mean really there are a lot of good things here, I have definitely had fun at times and there are some good people. Just for the most part I spend my time alone and for those of you who know me personally, I am not really an alone person, I love my friends :)

Will, is right though. This is one of the last times I will travel alone (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET HIM BE RIGHT!) and I need to make the best of it.

Here are some things I am totally loving.

-Dinner with my host parents. It is always interesting and I love trying to figure out what they are saying to me. They only speak spanish. Well y Catalan.

-Wandering the streets is great, as long as there is no rain.

-The beach es muy bonita.

-Cafe sin leche. All of the coffee here is so good!

- A couple of nice people who I hang out with when we can get in contact...

-My ipod. Especially the mix from Will. Without the ipod I would certainly already be headed home.

- Neat buildings and streets and people and funny dogs and fountains and cervesarias and dancing and yep.

Things i don't like.

-blisters

-mean people

-pick pockets

-aggressive try to rape people pickpockets

-gossip

-early mornings

-being lost for a past the fun part amount of time

-lost luggage

-being lonely

-having no one to joke around with most of the time

-having a hard time communicating and not being able to hang out with the couple of people who are nice.

-weird bumps on my fingers (I always get something weird like that when I travel!)

-feeling like I am old

Ok enough with the negative.

Tomorrow is a new day and I am going to run through it like I have a big kite and take on the city.

does that make sense or at least sound like tons of fun to anyone else but me?

pushing on through barcelona. waiting to post about everything because I'm hoping things start to look up a little more by the end of the week. Currently I have some good photos but only one with me in it. I have a lot of me time going on here, I also get asked to take pictures of other people and their friends a lot and they hand me their camera and I do it. Its not all like this, but currently that describes how I am feeling about this trip right now.

Alright, I am heading out to go explore and cheer up. I'll probably listen to this song a bajillion times since I already have. It fits pretty nicely, especially walking around a city alone. Makes me think of some pretty sweet things and also reminds all this is is passing time and things will change and go but I need to make the best out of everything. I am in Barcelona after all, who gets sad in Barcelona?

Helllooooooo. Off to Barcelona.
Finally got my luggage back. Need to charge my cameras. Can't wait to get to the homestay and get settled. Hoping some of the odd happenings will change when we stop travelling in this massive group. I'm getting peppier day by day. I've started to meet some really near people, even a fellow blogger! Definitely crazy to feel like I'm the old one at 23 here. Things will be good. I mean how can it not be. I'm in Spain. Really coming to terns with the fact that it's time to be a grown up, not that I wasnt already. My uncle sent me great email about just that. I have had about 4 hours of sleep in 36 hours

I miss Will.

I made it to Miami and had a wonderful day with Caitlin and my little sis.

I made it to Madrid finally.

Met a cool girl on the plane who is studying abroad too.

American Airlines sent my luggage to Canada on accident. All I have is my carryon (computer etc.) and my bag with shoes.

I currently don't smell beautiful.

I navigated Madrid without any gps all by myself and found my hostel, which is quite nice but I can't check in yet because they are cleaning the rooms.

I am hungry and about to go in search of food.

I miss everyone else too.

I'm nervous.

I'm excited.

This is going to be awesome.

Best fam ever. What what!

Voy a Espana en cuatro dias!

My family has been awesome. My mom, has been endlessly shopping for me and I must say she actually gets my style these days. My mom and I aren't really the spoil each other type so this has been a true treat and I am so grateful for it! On top of that she has been surprising me at work, my bar job, which is truly a massive boost to get me through the night! Gracias mamacita!

Here is an example of the absolute awesomeness she has brought to me!

My grandpa just told me that he is going to give me some monies and my stepdad Stephan is too! And my awesome Grammy!

This soon to be fully done with college is feeling very spoiled. Cheers to hard work paying off!

My best friend Anna just moved home from D.C. and I am feeling slightly sad because I only have just a few days to hang before I leave. The same goes for my good friend Matt who is moving to Dallas while I am gone and two of my best girlfriends who are pregnant and I will be gone for a month. Hoping everyone will stay in touch while I am gone. I need to find a post office in Barcelona. And Lyon. and some other beautiful places. Ahhhh!!!

Figured I have been neglecting my little blog for too long I have been reading everyone else's though!

So here is a quick update:

-Monday I finished my last class ever at the University of Houston

-Tuesday I worked my tail off at Berry Hill

-I have been designing away all week as well.

Tonight I am going to see Minus the Bear with my amazing friend Ashleigh! One of the best birthday presents ever, thanks so much lady!

-INSERT TONS AND TONS OF CRAMMING FOR SPANISH PLACEMENT TEST,TRYING NOT TO LOOK FAT FOR THE BIG TRIP, AND GOBBLING UP AS MUCH TIME AS POSSIBLE WITH MY SWEET WILL, PUPPY LIV, AND KITTY CATS BEFORE I TAKE OFF-

Did I mention the I leave in practically 10 days?? WHAT! And I have extended my trip to last until July 7th because I am going to stay with a friend in Lyon, France now? Yeah, I'm even jealous of me right now. Later I will post an update on Will and I's amazing 2 year anniversary camping trip but for now I am in dire need of a shower and I foresee a big glass of wine and fabulous music in the next two hours.

Also some other big news will be spread here, maybe not for a few months, but I'm pretty pumped.

Ah I actually have a moment this friday to play a long !

1. My favorite movie ever is: Oh goodness... I really love movies. I'll just list some for sure fav's and then you can add some from below. Garden State, Stranger Than Fiction, Bridget Jone's Diary, Away We Go, Vanilla Sky and bleh I need to just stop right now. I can't pick a fave.

2: My favorite movie as a child was: How little are we talking? I mean really little I was all about beauty and the beast, then teenage years I was all about Josie and the Pussycats and Moulin Rouge and 10 Things I Hate About You honestly I still really love all of these :)

3.The best movie quote ever is: "I know it hurts. That's life. If nothing else, It's life. It’s real, and sometimes it fuckin’ hurts, but it's sort of all we have." orrrr "Oh the weather outside is weather..."

4.My favorite actress is: Once again I have a lot of favorites but two recurring ones over a long period of time are Drew Barrymore and Natalie Portman and of course I should just say Zooey Deschanel

5. The movie I could watch over and over is: Wedding Singer

6. My favorite movie genre is: Indie and you know those comedy dramas with a little romance in them.

7. A movie I'd like to watch this weekend is: Amelie, I'm not quite sure how I have missed out on this film oooo and couples retreat, we need some laughter this weekend fo sho.

I hope everyone is going to have a great weekend, we are going to get work done, work out (I must), watch a movie or two, and you know just strive for happiness :)

Anyone has an extra ticket to Australia? That what we would really love to do :) Maybe we will make an awesome decision to go do something great like miss Kate. I seriously cannot stop thinking about doing things like this. Im going to dedicate a post to it soon.

Chapter Number: Next

Today has been dreary and rainy and I figured sleep would come quite easily after so much work and exercise (so happy to be back getting my yoga on!). Yet, here I am bloggin away, trying to steal a few more moments before I have to get up and tackle another week.

This week though, is one of my last weeks of college. It is actually beginning to feel real. These 6 years (yes, I know... I had some indecisive moments...I graduated high school a year early and went all of over the place, 3 colleges, 3 majors, a bajillion bad decisions I'm sure, but hey? That's part of growing up right, you live and you learn. I can truthfully say I have and I think a lot of it shows in the choices I make and the work I do now.) of hard work and mind blowing life changes and decisions, are coming to a close.

At this moment I have a lot of big plans for life after college, some are already beginning and others are still in constant day dream mode but none the less, they are very real to me. I hope through the next year I get to show these little (actually quite large) dreams coming to life here on my area of this gigantic net of dreams and other miscellaneous things.

In 5 weeks I will be headed to Spain for the true last part of my education (formal education that is).

I can feel my fingers grasping the page that has the first paragraph of the next chapter of my life written on it. I have that anticipation of wanting to just skip ahead a read a few lines, just for a little glimpse of what is to come. Even writing it out right now feels good.

I'm so glad I get to take some great things from my previous & present chapters with me as well as leave things behind.

I want to make sure I send some great thanks you's to everyone who made my birthday so great!

I am soon going to steal some photos of Will's phone and hopefully get some photos from lee and sarah of our fantastic camping adventure weekend. We had so much fun, despite the guy in the creepy van and the lack of space between campsites. I was pretty proud of our "roughing it" skills. Tin foil boats made to cook eggs and other similar things came from our great survival minds.

We learned that:

-non-stick spray and utensils to pull hot things out of fire are very important

-old fashioned can openers are not easy to figure out and may cause severe flesh wounds

-little green caterpillars can be very friendly and territorial all at once

-ladies, prepare for camping by doing squats, those muscles will come in handy at potty time

-and many other wonderful things...

So thank you everyone for the weekend: Kendall, Will, Lee, Sarah, Sully, and Mike C. I missed everyone else and greatly appreciated all of the sweet comments, calls and packages :)

Anna- don't be sad the postman was not gentle, I will use the broken glass to make something :)

In one week I will be the owner of this bad boy, thanks to my wonderful mamacita and stepapa Stephan.

I will be baking in this wonderful little number that Will got me!

I'm not sure what sparked it, but I have been thinkin of my sweet mama all night. I would like to share this wonderful photo of us when we are in super get along mode. This is us singing to Pat Benatar with a butcher knife and a wine glass. There is a little hand holding action taking place at the same time. We have done this a lot in our 22 (almost 23!) years together, sometimes with hairbrushes and other household items that can double of microphones. We don't always agree but my mom has it goin on for the most part and I love her. I will cherish this photo for ever and ever. Thank you Will for documenting this for us :)

I just realized that this may also seem like and awkward family photo if someone reads this post after reading my previous one. It isn't meant to be but, it may not seem normal to the average family now that I take a look. If it is, I love it. Cheers to awkwardness.

Yay! Joining in on another fill in the blank friday from Lauren's blog! It has been too long since I have done this.

Check out #7, consider that my friday update for the weekend :)

1. The best piece of advice I was ever given was when a hair stylist told me that whenever you start to think of things that have gone wrong in your life or things you start to feel regret, you nip it in the butt .

2. If I had a million dollars to give to one charity I would give it to the child foundation or something similar possible a charity that inspires community creativity because I believe thats what keeps the gears in the mind turning and smiles on faces .

3. If I got to choose my "last meal" it would be tex-mex. I almost said home cooking but man tex mex is where its at. Can I have a margarita with it as well? .

4. My hair is one of the only things I consistently like about myself. I just cut it all off about 6 months ago, ready for it to grow back and be mucho mucho long.

5. If at first you don't succeed don't sit around and think bad about yourself, its pointless. Get back up on your "horse" and gallop through the night towards super amazing things during your second go round. No one is perfect.

6. I have always been very excited.

7. Oh....and by the way.... I am headed out of town for the weekend! Yay college station to visit Will's sister and her new bebe and then off to Austin to see some fabulous friends and plan our future amazing endeavors together. (more to come of the endeavors, expect great things. Be excited.)

Ooo one more thing, watch this video. It is amazing. Owen will change your life, in a good way. We will be jamming this with the windows down and the wind in our hair on our road trip.

So I am thinking a lot about colored tape. I feel like it is something that is sadly missing from my life and I feel a bit out of the know for not knowing where to acquire this beautiful equipment without ordering it online.

Do you ever feel like there isn't enough time in the day? That you go and go and go, but you aren't quite sure what you did for the past 5 hours? I want to do so many things. Mainly I want to make and live off of making. I don't want to be over the top with money. I want my currency to be time and the way I spend it.

Thats my short rant for the day, it goes a long with a lot of big decisions I need to make in my life right now. Updates soon.

So my life is a little different than many other people my age. My parents had me really young therefore they are still in the baby making stage apparently. Well, not my mom she doesn't want anymore bebes. I could go into more detail on the craziness that has taken place throughout my life, but I feel it is pretty pointless as I am generally a happy young lady and I don't think I turned out all too terrible. Some days I may have a different response, just a warning. So... I have a young stepmom (who I really love) and a very little sister, she turned two this weekend! (I have other siblings as well but this post is for my little sis.) The road trip there was great! Will and I really enjoyed the Prius we rented, I mean, I am dying to have that car as my own. Livi was a good pup the whole way there. We didn't make it to disney like planned but life goes on. It had been exactly one year since I had seen my dad and my sister and stepmom so I was soooooo excited! The drive seemed like nothing since I was getting such a big treat! Thank you Will for being such a trooper this trip as well, it really means a lot to me that you came along.

My sisters birthday party was at Amaya Papaya. Basically, the equivalent of a kindergarten classroom. It was so neat with a sandbox, a lemonade stand, dress up clothes, etc. Everyone had something to play with. Caitlin ( stepmom, who I will no long refer to as that as she is more of a friend and only 3 years older than I and awesome) is a cake decorator and always goes alllll out on Ella's (little sis) cake. Her theme was Lilo and Stitch this year.

I am so happy that I am going to be done with school so I can see my family more than once a year. She finally recogizes me as Chelsea, her sister. Even though she probably doesn't understand what a sister is. This time was so great, when I left we got her to say "Bye Sissy" and "Bye Will" an "Bye Wivi".

I am a big sissy, in a good way.

Tonight while I work on all of the bajillion things I am supposed to be completing I am also being distracted by looking up neat places in the lovely city of Melbourne. Will and I are dreaming out loud about our happy place. :)

This one is our fav so far.

Did I mention that this weekend Will, Olivia, and I are making the drive to Florida for my little sisters 2nd birthday!

I was supposed to fly, but... I accidentally booked my ticket to Dayton, Ohio instead of Daytona, Florida and man oh man they won't let me change it and tickets to Florida are almost $800 now! Crazy insane.

So now Will is able to come and we can bring the pup. We rented a 2010 prius and are very excited to start a new tradition of awesome road trips.

*Last time I drove to Florida by myself when my little sis was about to be born and Will kept me company via text the whole time, this was before we were together. So excited to make this trip together as a couple now! *

Here is a great photo from that trek I made all by myself. Not the best quality but basically describes what I was staring at forever and the deliriousness I was beginning to feel.

First, I am officially going to Spain to finish my degree this summer! I booked my ticket to Barcelona for May 25. Will was supposed to be able to come visit for couple of weeks but unfortunately there is no way he can leave work. Therefore the money that was going to go to the plane ticket... went to us finally getting our pup! We picked her out at the shelter on Valentines day and today she was all ready to go!

It was so hard to keep this a secret... We want to share with you the newest addition to our little family. Meet Olivia "Livi".

She is part catahoula and we think australian shepherd. We saved her from the shelter. She is the sweetest most loving little lady. We could not be more thrilled. Soon we will have our kitties back from their vacation too. Expect a lot of animal lovin crazy posts!

I have to write two ads a week for a broadcast and film writing class. These are for two different companies, local national, etc. I have to write scripts that are timed 60-30-20-10 seconds long. Crazy. My scripts are terrible. Terribly cheesy. Here is one so everyone can have a laugh. I chose Zales, a terrrible terrible overpriced and cheesy jewelry shop. Perfect.

Will keeps making fun of me saying I sound like E.T. My finger and arm do really and truly hurt though. I show my emotions a lot too, so shoot me. We named my finger wrap curtis, silly I know but we had to make it funny. It looks like a little sausage I think.

So heres the story. How it would look in a newspaper.

It was a busy wednesday night behind the bar at Berry Hill Revere. I was slinging drinks like Tom Cruise and people were lovin me. I began to feel a little faint and queasy from all of the business and my stage fright, the paparazzi were there, who wouldn't be nervous? So I sat down for a moment. Then the stylish couple at table one came up for another round of top shelf margaritas. I pick up a glass in each hand and set them on the edge of the bar, then CRACK! SMASH! JAB! SLICE!AHHHH! SPURT! The glass in my left broke at the stem and attacked my pinky finger. Some say the glass came to life, and that it was a scheme to get publicity for the famous people in the bar. Blood was pouring everywhere, the kitchen guys ran to my rescue as I burst into tears. They tried to stop the bleeding but it wasn't happening and I was starting to feel faint. I called for backup and tried to tame the roaring crowd. The stylish man said he knew the owner and tipped me 100 bucks for troopin through. Will showed up in helicopter and took me home. We thought I was okay... then we saw the blue and guts sticking out of my finger. Off to the emergency room... I fabulously filled out loads of paperwork and got my workers comp information. The news crew showed up and people were cheering me on! Elite 24hr emergency room said that my x-rays were so brilliant that they had to put them on a disk to show world. I watched as they sewed my finger back together, I was brave. They let me keep the tools so I can use them to sew at home. Hopefully not to sew skin back together. Will called the president and let him know that I was okay, and then we headed out into the night.

I know its not Friday, but I am so excited to participate.

Yay for fill in the blank friday! This came from here, what a great idea!

1. If I weren't a s student/creative director/bartender I'd love to be own a fabulous shop with baked goods and neat things everywhere and maybe teach kindergarten art and music class.

2. When I'm super upset I cry and say things out loud, crazy things. Sometimes I search for song that deals with the crazy thing I'm upset about. Then I get hungry and not hungry all at the same time and question everything, I also start to think I have a terminal disease and its really no good. Will is pretty good at calming me down even if it is a tedious project .

3. My favorite thing about myself is my desire to do things and go places and smile. My smile is pretty alright, even if my teeth aren't perfect.

4. If I found a $100 in the pocket of last winter's coat I'd spend it on something awesome. I would call Will and say ahhh I found a hundred dollars lets go to dinner and shop and see a movie and go bowling or something! Frozen Yogurt!

5. Even though some people might consider this a flaw, I love my ability to say yes a lot and not stay tooooo angry at people, more so than not it is for the best, even if I do get walked over a lot.

6. I love the way I feel when Will and I spend all day together and laugh and then want to spend the whole next day together again and even though we are really tired we stay up and chit chat and fall asleep giggling. This happens a lot :)

7. I love my hair most when it's got the I feel asleep with it wet look in the back, you can't make awesome true volume like that I miss it being long sometimes though.

It is nice to take a moment and think of things like this so you don't forget :)

Today I found out that I will officially be getting my teeth fixed. They are atrocious. I accept full responsibility for it as well. ( but my fingers also point towards some of my elders who let it get that bad, what kind of a real human would I be if my mind didn't conjure up some blame once in a while?) No hard feelings though, now its time to look towards the future. Lots of things to smile about I am sure. I am so pumped to get to show off my sweet teeth again :)

I am living proof that when there is a will there is way (no pun intended, but maybe he really is my good luck charm).

Today was my last first day of school. To be honest, I have been in a funk all day since getting up around 4 am to get to the airport to leave DC. So sad to leave my nanz (Anna). Oats and I have been in a daze for the rest of the day after arriving back here in Houston, with 75 degree weather, what? Talk about a mind (insert inappropriate word here). The cats decided to pee at the front door a lot while we were gone, so that was glorious to come home too. I did miss them so though.

Onto the school part. It was awful. My only class on tuesdays is a night class and it is about communication law and ethics. The teacher is still a lawyer and uses it as an excuse to be very rude it seems and overall I am just not thrilled. I had to withdraw from his class once a couple of years ago because he has a ZERO tardy policy and the class is at 5:30 which makes it impossible to make it there through rush hour traffic from work. He drops you if you are late more than twice. Crazy.

I miss having girl friends to chit chat with like on the east coast...

Ok wow, enough complaining. Here are some things I am happy about.

I got my Singer Esteem II sewing machine today :)

I have the best boyfriend in the universe.

I also have the some of the best friends ever and I am so thankful I was able to visit them and that I still have some close, even though we are all always busy.

We got healthy groceries tonight :)

Tomorrow I am going to start my new workout routine!

And... I have a new client to meet tomorrow.

Also about a bajillion other things, including all of the great blogs I get to read!

I promise to do a full update on the trip tomorrow, for now it is sleepy time so I am not so grouchy tomorrow.

It usually is, then recenlty I gave in and had it colored. Of course, they did not do the right color. No more hair dying for me!

Plain, but soon I plan on lacey.

Comfy, the sexy stuff is made for people who are as skinny as a rail. Its sad, maybe someday, along with the lacey bra.

Nope, it smells funny in those places. I am more of a winter/fall person anyways, the seasons where not much skin is shown :)

It's supposed to snow in the morning :) I am pretty sure I am one of the only people here who is excited, but I think it is magical. Despite this bone chilling cold that I have never experienced until now, I can't wait to play outside in the winter wonderland.

We are about to go to bed here in Philadelphia to get up in the morning and take the chinatown bus to NYC. We have been having so much fun it is unreal! Oats has a really great best friend who has been showing us around and letting us crash in his living room. It feels like a real vacation though, we even took one night to just go on a date to the movies and hang out at a sweet pub right down the street. We are feeling a little bit like the movie away we go minus the baby part.

So far we are definitely getting the vibe that we belong on the east coast, philly is amazing.

Last Sunday we put up our Christmas tree. We had so much fun! When I was little my mom dated a man named Daniel Pope, who own the tree lot here in Houston. He comes down every year form North Carolina! Getting a tree from the Pope Tree lot has been a tradition for many Houston families in the Montrose area! It was such a good experience to go back and see him again after so many years. Thanks Daniel!

I know it is not so lovely that I have not been blogging! I have absolutely been reading blogs though! Truth is I have just been so busy that I have so much to blog about and have not been sure where to start! So I am going to make this blog post about Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving was a blast with Will's (my lovely boyfriend who is called The Ber by many, but I am officially calling him Oats from here on out, like he is my honey bunches of "oats" That's that.) family and mine. We spent a lot of time with good friends of his here, as well others who were in from out of town or who live on the other side of town. I also got to see some of my most favorite people! Overall it was a great break :)

Today sweet The Ber (lovely boyfriend/avid roll over my toes man grr) went to the Rennaissance Festival. We had a great time! My best friend Anna's family has been working for the festival most of their life and we had the pleasure of doing the same when we were young! So today was great! Saw some people I have missed a lot (Aunt Pam and Aunt Polly!) and enjoyed the beautiful weather!

Too busy to focus, think about car dealerships.

This week I know I have hit one of those crazy busy peaks that I am going to look back on and say wow that was insane (everyone has done this right?).

Here are some ways I know that this is happening.

In mid sentence I find my eyes focused on random spots on the wall, then on school, then on food, then on my weight, then on bar tending, then drinking at a bar, then back to conversation, then confused, then to work, then to logos, then to taking pictures, then to recording music, then to fluffy kitties, then to fluffy boyfriend beard, and then a bajillion other things but! This is the big one, I start thinking about THINKING. Ridiculous.

Then I revert back to being a little kid. When I was little I used to distract myself with this weird pattern of thoughts about buying a new car. I always wondered who dropped the person off at the car dealership to get their new car, what happened to the old one? What if they had someone ride with them...

Really this is all nonsense I know, but I knew nothing of trading in cars and cabs etc.

So when I start thinking about that car thing... I know I'm in overload mode. Also, I can be pretty sure that you may think I am crazy now too. Its ok, I may be :)

I am so excited! I found this ornament swap via my best friend's blog.

In Texas the weather cannot make up its mind. So it went from pretty low 70's and blue skies to funky muggy and hot. Not thrilled.

Which is why I am so pumped to participate in something festive!

I almost forgot!

The bridal trunk show was a hit last night! It was hosted by the company I am with Green Lily and the fabulous Bridal Store Maison de Mode. I was asked to design the invitation and the signage for the outside! Check it out :)

My head looks all chopped and funny, I swear it is actually normal shaped. Well... at least not flat on one

side. After the event Will and I had the most lovely little dinner at the italian restaurant Gugilanis.

Then I decided I needed more wine to design for the rest of the night so I found this lovely bottle called "Mommy's Time Out"

The website is not very good...but I love the message it was a refreshing pinot grigio. I purchased it in honor of my lovely mother :

This week has been sooo great!

So busy too...I mean really busy.

We also met a really nice guy named Jose who came to the show all of the way from Louisiana for the show! He is going to be going to Spain at the same time I am studying there. Awesome to make new friends who like good music.

Overall the show was amazing. Will and I ate at Hard Rock cafe by the venue and my veggie burger was nasty. Wills burger looked really good.

I am so happy Will enjoyed the show! Happy Birthday again love!

Also, having to pee very badly for hours while watching good music is okay until the show ends and you have to find a bathroom and maneuver through a large group of people. That was pretty lame.

So I am in desperate need of a better workspace arrangement. Our apartment is filled with endless spots. I even have my own nook already! I just can't seem to be productive up in it. So I am currently sharing Will's workspace. With the large influx of projects I have on the rise... this simply will not work for long.

Only button costume I have seen is this cute little one. And she is a toddler, an adorable one though. It does explain why people keep giggling when I say that is what I want to be this year :)

To sum up my week so far...

I feel asleep on accident today.

For 3 hours... hence the whoa.

On a brighter note...

Will turned 26 on Monday October 26. :) I am so thankful he was born! (FYI, he's pretty much my fave. He has a mighty beard as well.)

For his birthday we are going to see Regina Spektor.

I'm happy he's happy about it.

I also finished my first official project in my new role with Green Lily Events!

Bring it on rest of the week. I swear I won't fall asleep on you again.

Oh I also made a commercial about cardboard door and wall installation so you can live out your childhood refrigerator fort dreams and confuse your pets. I'm anxiously awaiting my teachers feedback :) I hope he plays it for the class so I can see lots of interesting looks from my peers. Yes!
